Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God is a passionate one-man drama about rock icon Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the legendary rock group Queen. His tragic death of AIDS in 1991 had a tremendous worldwide impact since he was the first rock star to publicly acknowledge his illness. In the play, the late Freddie Mercury seeks redemption before a God unimpressed by his celebrity. In his ultimate struggle to make sense of his grim fate, he realizes that his fame, fortune and talents are no longer enough to sustain him; that beyond the darkness of his fears, shines a light far brighter than the superstar he was on Earth.
