The BBC article addresses the 20th Anniversary of Wham!'s ground-breaking first Western gig in Communist China.


To prevent this happening, he made two brochures - one featuring Wham!fans as pleasant middle-class youngsters, and one portraying Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in typically flamboyant poses. The Chinese opted for Wham!.

The gig may have been groundbreaking, but it was not a great show.
