On September 5th, 2006 Freddie Mercury would be 60 years old. In order to celebrate the event, the Portuguese Queen Fan Club “Keep Queen Alive” (which will be 2 years old), along with Hard Rock Cafe in Lisbon, will promote a party in tribute to him.
One Vision, a Portuguese Queen tribute band, will perform after, at about 10 p.m., presenting the audience with a special show.
There will also be a contest with the cooperation of Casino Lisboa.
Tickets to the show “Queen – It’s a Kinda Magic!”, which will take place in December at Casino Lisboa, will be offered to those who present the best graphic or literary works dedicated to one of the themes suggested by the Fan Club: A) Bohemian Rhapsody B) Queen at Wembley.
According to Sérgio Marques, founder of the Portuguese Queen Fan Club, this will be the greatest event of this kind in Portugal, dedicated to Queen. Fans from all over the country are expected to pay tribute to Freddie Mercury, on the day of his 60th birthday.
