Music a main focus at 9th annual Overlooked Film Festival

APRIL27 – Noon. "Sadie Thompson" (1928), a silent film that will be accompanied for the first time by members of the Champaign-Urbana Symphony, performing a score written by Joseph Turrin. Gloria Swanson, in an Oscar-nominated role, plays a woman trapped on the tropical island of Pago-Pago, confronted about her lifestyle by a crusading missionary played by Lionel Barrymore.
