"A Knight's Tale" debuts in 2nd place
This past weekend saw "A Knight's Tale" open nationwide across America. Early reports state that the film opened very strong with $17 million gross. Considering it was competing with the hugely popular "The Mummy Returns", most industry experts believe the film is a success.
"A Knight's Tale" in it's opening weekend grossed more than the first "Highlander" film did in it's entire theatrical run here.
"Wayne's World" opened to a little over $18 million and went on to gross $121 million in America.
From what we have seen, if a Queen song was strongly tied in to a hit film, the song goes on to be a hit so hopes are high for Queen + Robbie's "We Are The Champions".
